Company List (2nd Round)

A second lottery round for cannabis licenses occurred in January 2024 and June 2024. Around 174 companies were initially selected and 31 added in June for a total of 205. Here is a link directly to the MCA that provides a full list of companies and states that 205 applicants were selected. Apparently 142 licenses were designated for dispensaries, 46 for cultivation and 17 for processing. Here is another link from the Maryland.gov website with corresponding email for each applicant but a different total for each category. According to this, 30 were for micro processing and 45 for standard processing, 10 were for micro dispensary and 82 for standard dispensary, and finally 30 for micro grow and 24 for standard grow. Apparently there is an 18 month window for these businesses to become operational. This includes becoming compliant with MCA regulations and zoning as well as providing a detailed business plan. It is hard to find updated information about a lot of these companies, however more information should hopefully be coming out soon and will be updated accordingly.
